She's one of the pioneers of the Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market: Andrea Greier, who started up with just a small shack in 2001 selling traditional german sausages, celebrated her 11th anniversary on the German Market this year - just like the event itself.
By now Greier oversees four stalls: besides her sausage-stand she also runs two selling gingerbread-hearts and one offering candied nuts. She is the heart of her and her husband's company, especially since her husband Volker suffers from severe cancer, fighting for his life back at home - while his wife is fighting to make a living for him and her three sons. Completely leaving her family at home in 2011, it was one of the hardest years for the mother of three.
Andrea Greier has all that power and energy regardless of her own cancer diagnosis that she received three years ago. We have packed the story of a strong personality between hope and hardship in an audio-slideshow.
Please note: All non-Germans should enable the captions on the bottom right under the video. For all those who don't see them - it might be a Firefox issue, please try another browser then.

Therefore we find some more evidence of Santa's drug career - apparently he didn't only have too much cocaine with his favourite soft-drink in his early ages, but seems to have switched over to alcohol.

George Tyndale, apparently placed on the front line of Sunday Mercury's columnist armada (since its area of expertise covers subjects as controversial as saggy boobs, food porn cover shoots or kung-fu ninja Santas), lately took the Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market in his sights.

Long before it started smelling like mulled wine and sausages on Victoria Square, there was a scent of revolution, of anarchy in the air. A massive police force signaled the gravity of the situation a few hundred metres ahead. Everything looked like some sort of civil war could break out anytime.
